With the introduction of the Sentinel™ product line, which protects the environment by promoting proper waste disposal, Bemis Health Care continues a tradition of forward-thinking breakthroughs in the health care field.
In 1998, Bemis introduced Vac–U–Port™, and in 2004, the Quick–Drain™ Waste Management Systems to provide an engineering-controlled operation that confines liquid infectious waste for clean, safe disposal. These systems safely and efficiently drain canisters into the sanitary sewer system in accordance with EPA, CDC and NIOSH guidelines. Equally important, these systems also substantially reduce landfill waste and contamination.
As a division of Bemis Manufacturing Company, Bemis Health Care employs the same rigid standards as its parent company when it comes to best environmental practices. We understand the effect our choices have on the Earth, so we aim to reduce eco-strain by minimizing impact from areas such as raw material consumption, production and disposal. We look to reprocessed materials whenever possible, and continue to reduce waste, energy, resource consumption and emissions during production. We also monitor our own progress through our Environmental Impact Committee to make sure we are moving in the right direction.
Through progress and innovation, Bemis Health Care will continue to be an environmentally friendly neighbor and a responsible global citizen.
